Zen Engaged Dharma) talks are short talks by sangha members about how they take their practice into the world, through work, art, activism, service, family life, etc. and how their practice supports doing so.

Kuen Marja Butterworth is a long-time member of Calgary Soto Zen who maintains a connection with MRZC as well. She has worked as a registered nursefor about 15 years mostly in end of life and geriatrics but also in oncology/ hematology (leukemia and lymphoma) and as a school nurse in Kuwait. I She consider sparenting part of her career and has done that for 29 years.
