As a bonus supplement to the series with Shinmon Michael on zenga (zen painting), Myoshin Kate will offer one session on haiga (haiku painting), a related tradition that pairs a haiku poem with a simple painting, expressing a moment of vivid present awareness in the midst of constant change. (Have a pen and paper on hand. We might write some haiku!)

Dharma seminar sessions consist of two zazen periods, an informal talk, sometimes writing reflections (bring a notebook), small/large group talking circles. Part of our regular Wednesday evening practice schedule. Everyone welcome!  By donation.
