Ryushin (Dragon Heart) Andrea started practice in 1994, in Zen in 1997 in the Buddhist Peace Fellowship as part of the BASE program,and was ordained in 2005 and transmitted in 2015 by Sojun Mel Weitsman at the Berkeley Zen Center and has studied with Shohaku Okumura since 2001. She has worked in the urban public sector for 30 years, primarily in geriatrics and palliative medicine. She moved to Bellingham in early 2016 and now practices with Red Cedar Zen Community.
