The Engaged Buddhist Practice Group invites you to consider the space where urban design meets nature! (rescheduled from February due to weather conditions)
Meet up point: 10:00 am at Olympic Village Station (Canada Line), street door. It’s just west of the south end of the Cambie Bridge.
Event description:
This walk with resource person, Yael Stav, expert in environmental sustainability projects and education, will explore the natural world in the urban environment, looking at the design ideas in the transformation of an historical industrial area, green design and engineering elements, the urban shoreline, and a range of citizen / civil society efforts to engage with the local environment.
The walk: Quiet street and False Creek seawall walking, possible coffee shop stop in Leg’n Boot Square, option to carry on further west towards Granville Island.
