Practices for Nurturing Connection Dharma Seminar

  • Mountain Rain Zendo 2016 Wall St. Vancouver, BC Canada (map)

So much of our distress in human relationships comes down to our delusion that we are separate, enduring entities—it’s us against the world.  In a culture that values individual autonomy, we are conditioned to view others as a threat, and yet we yearn for connection.  Dharma teachings offer us practices that nurture and strengthen our capacity for deep, meaningful connection with others. In this series we’ll look at trust, empathy , generosity, gratitude, forgiveness, and integrity; how these qualities foster connection and how we can cultivate them in our daily lives.

Format: two 25-minute zazen periods, followed by an informal talk by one of the teachers, writing or experiential practice, small and large group discussion, informal tea.

No registration required. By donation/dana. Everyone is welcome—both new and experienced meditators.
