Join the Mountain Rain sangha in celebrating this happy occasion. Guiding teachers Shinmon Michael and Myoshin Kate will give shukke tokudo, priest ordination, to Roshin Carmen Mills and Onsen Colleen Kerr. Becoming ordained as a Zen priest is a commitment to make one’s practice the centre and guiding force in one’s life and to serve the sangha (community). The ceremony marks the beginning of a new relationship to one’s practice.

Rev. Aoki of the VBT has generously offered their hondo (main hall) for the ceremony on a donation basis. There will be an envelope for donations.
