Growing the Mountain Rain Zen Community Endowment Fund
/This tree represents the fundraising we need to maintain, support, and grow a secure financial base for our community. The first necessity for any organization is to cover their ongoing operating costs eg. taxes, rent, insurance, wages etc. This is where your monthly or annual donations are applied and they cover fully half of the monies needed to maintain our organization. On the apple tree, the low hanging fruits represent this, as they are the easiest to obtained. Next comes the fundraising for special projects, for example if we needed a new roof at Bright Stream. These special projects are unique single events. They are like the branches of the tree and are a little harder to reach. The MRZC Endowment Fund is like the tree itself. It is the third type of fundraising and focuses on long-term financial security. Donations, often coming through people’s wills and estates, have the potential to support all facets of Mountain Rain’s financial needs.
Let’s plant the tree deep and wide so that it can support our community and our practice for generations to come. Please become a founding donor of the MRZC Endowment Fund today.
